# Aurelia latency benchmark

> The median time from a trade's block to your socket, measured from outside our network on 5 November 2026: Solana 0.56 s, BSC 0.76 s, Base 1.11 s ahead, Robinhood Chain 0.77 s, Ethereum 2.82 s.

## Median, block to socket

- Solana 0.56 s, BSC 0.76 s, Base 1.11 s ahead, Robinhood Chain 0.77 s, Ethereum 2.82 s

Aurelia: the median time from a trade's block to your socket. Ahead means it arrived before the block's own timestamp.

## Every percentile

| Chain | Median | 90th percentile | 99th percentile | Trades measured |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Solana | 0.56 s | 0.97 s | 2.88 s | 73,447 |
| BSC | 0.76 s | 1.16 s | 1.36 s | 7,312 |
| Base | 1.11 s ahead | 0.31 s ahead | 0.01 s | 1,434 |
| Robinhood Chain | 0.77 s | 1.18 s | 1.54 s | 2,984 |
| Ethereum | 2.82 s | 3.82 s | 3.86 s | 432 |

## How this was measured

- One client subscribed to the `trades` channel for each chain's busiest token and listened for 5 minutes.
- For each trade the first time it arrived was compared with the time in the trade, which is its block's timestamp.
- The client ran on a home connection in Europe, on a clock kept right by NTP, through the public socket of Aurelia Screener, which adds one forwarding hop.

## How to read it

- A block's timestamp has whole seconds on most chains, which adds up to a second to these figures.
- A figure marked ahead means the trade arrived before that timestamp. Aurelia sends a trade as soon as it is known, and a [retract message](https://app.aurelia.build/docs/live-trades) names any that did not happen.
- Ethereum's figure is mostly block propagation, not indexing.
